The Party Poker Review: Crossing from Computers to Mobile Devices
Open-sourced mobile operating system Android is recognized as the
leader in the global market today, surpassing iOS and Windows. The usage of Android-powered systems in Germany alone has expanded its market share by 18 percentage points year on year to 43 percent, according to a market research done by Goldmedia Custom Research and Respondi in 2012. This surge in usage had opened an opportunity for online gaming sites like Party Poker to expand their offerings, and breach out in the mobile industry.
The Party Poker app has just been launched last December. Compatible with Android-operated devices, the de.partypoker.com/ app features real money and play money games in several poker variations, including No Limit Texas Hold’em, 7 Card Stud and Omaha Hi-Lo. It has an easy-to-use mobile interface, and can be access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week provided that the user has a strong internet connection.
Another feature of the Party Poker app is the well-celebrated FastForward Poker. According to an article in Poker Listings, the FastForward Poker is a new feature that “allows players to fold their hand and instantly be transported to a new table with new hand.” With this offering, German users as well as international ones can expect four times as many hands as the traditional kind. Plus, they can do it with relative ease.
Also, members can now connect with the others using the app’s community site or the virtual lounge. Connect to the internet, and interact with fellow poker enthusiasts of all levels in no time. In addition to these features, the Party Poker app is also available in multiple languages including German.
The app is available to those who have a smartphone or tablet that runs in Android 2.1 or higher, and have an existing account in the Party Poker site. To install the app, just follow these instructions:
Enable non-Market apps by going to “Settings”, then “Applications” and checking the tick box “Unknown sources. Allow installation of non-Market applications.” When the warning window appears, just tap OK.
Scan the QR or go to PartyPoker.com on your Android device to start the download.
Create a new account or log in with your existing Party Poker details. When done, you can start playing.
It is undeniable that the Party Poker app is beneficial, although it is not as efficient as its predecessor yet. For starters, there is no deposit or withdrawal function included in the app until now. Also, members in Germany and other countries are expected to experience several nuisances while playing as the app is still in its beta stage. These range from connection problems through system bugs. If these problems occur, the Party Poker team advices their members to contact them directly, as soon as possible.
